Detailed features

Single-shot bolt-action with manual cocking. You load one round, chamber it, fire, and repeat. The rebounding firing pin is automatically blocked until the trigger is pulled, which prevents accidental discharge during handling. Adjustable sights let you zero for your preferred distance. The walnut stock is real wood, not laminate or synthetic; it has weight and feel that's noticeably different from cheaper rimfire options.

The 4x24 scope comes in the box and is usable as shipped. It's a basic scope appropriate for the rifle's price and purpose. If you're doing serious precision work you'd swap it; for general use and learning the fundamentals it's fine.

Target audience

Younger or newer shooters learning marksmanship basics on a platform where single-shot operation builds good habits. Also works for small game hunting where one well-placed shot is the point.

Usage scenarios

• Learning marksmanship fundamentals
• Small game hunting (rabbits, squirrels)
• Casual range use and plinking

Owners of the Keystone .22 LR Deluxe tend to comment on a consistent set of points.

The walnut stock gets attention first. For a rifle in this category and price range, real walnut is unusual, and most owners appreciate both the look and the feel of it. Build quality comes up positively. The rifle feels solid, not like a toy, which matters for something intended for younger or newer shooters.

Accuracy is considered good for the purpose. Single-shot .22 LR at modest distances is forgiving, and the adjustable sights let you dial it in. The included 4x24 scope gets reasonable marks, clear enough and easy to use, though some owners eventually upgrade it.

Weight is occasionally mentioned as a concern. A few owners find it slightly heavier than expected for a youth or beginner rifle, which can matter during extended sessions. It's not extreme, but worth noting if the primary user is a young shooter.

Overall, the sentiment is that it's a well-made single-shot .22 for what it is. People who buy it for learning fundamentals or small game hunting tend to be satisfied.
