Description
The Kimber K6S (NS) holds the distinction of being the world's lightest production 6-shot .357 Magnum revolver at 1.4 lbs. The 2-inch barrel keeps it compact for concealed carry, and the double-action mechanism delivers a smooth trigger pull without a single-action option. Six-round capacity is standard for the platform and gives it a slight edge over five-shot carry revolvers in the same size class.

The black rubber grips provide traction and absorb some recoil. 3-dot tritium night sights are fitted from the factory, which allows for reliable target acquisition in low light without any aftermarket additions. The combination of .357 Magnum chambering and 1.4 lb weight means recoil is present but manageable with the grips and trigger design working together.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that it is easily the best Factory trigger I've used on a smallframe revolver.
I have to say that this is probably one of the most beautiful revolvers that i've seen i mean it's just a work of art.
It's still going to be a challenge for anyone who is not already comfortable with double actions but it's a major improvement over the competition.
I'm not a fan of the default blackon black sights even with some bright paint on the front sight they are still relatively short and not the easiest to use.
Kimber's quality control is not awesome stuff like misaligned sights might not seem like a big deal but it's not encouraging in light of kimber's reputation.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Kimber K6S .357 Magnum collects consistent praise for its build quality and materials. Owners describe it as solidly constructed with good attention to detail, and the lightweight carry advantage at 1.4 lbs is frequently cited as a real-world benefit rather than a marketing point.
The trigger pull gets positive marks, especially from shooters stepping up to .357 Magnum for the first time. The double-action pull is smooth and the recoil is more manageable than the caliber might suggest. The factory night sights are well-regarded and avoid the need for immediate aftermarket work.
The main friction points: the price sits at the higher end of the revolver market, and some buyers weigh whether the premium is justified against similar options. Six-round capacity is a reasonable complaint for anyone comparing it against semi-automatic carry guns. Holster and accessory availability is narrower than for more common platforms, which creates some inconvenience for new owners. A handful of users mention a break-in period before the action smoothed out fully.
