Detailed Features
The stainless steel frame resists corrosion, which matters for a carry revolver that sees daily humidity and handling. The 2-inch barrel keeps the overall footprint compact for concealed carry. The walnut boot grip with diamond checkering provides a secure hold and is notably narrower than rubber overmolded grips on competing revolvers, which helps with concealment. White 3-dot sights aid target acquisition in lower light. The DASA action lets shooters choose between a long double-action pull and the lighter single-action mode depending on the situation.
Usage Scenarios
The K6S suits concealed carry and backup roles where a compact, reliable wheelgun is preferred over a semi-auto. The 6-round capacity is one more than most 2-inch frame revolvers in this class. Running .38 Special +P reduces recoil for training; .357 Magnum gives maximum terminal performance when needed.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that it is easily the best Factory trigger I've used on a smallframe revolver.
I have to say that this is probably one of the most beautiful revolvers that i've seen i mean it's just a work of art.
It's still going to be a challenge for anyone who is not already comfortable with double actions but it's a major improvement over the competition.
I'm not a fan of the default blackon black sights even with some bright paint on the front sight they are still relatively short and not the easiest to use.
Kimber's quality control is not awesome stuff like misaligned sights might not seem like a big deal but it's not encouraging in light of kimber's reputation.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Kimber K6S in .357 Magnum gets consistently positive reviews from concealed carry users, with a few repeated criticisms.
Construction quality is the most-praised attribute. The stainless finish and tight cylinder gap are frequently mentioned as signs of better-than-average manufacturing for a small-frame revolver. The compact dimensions, particularly the 1.39-inch width, make it easier to conceal than most 6-shot revolvers, and owners comment that the walnut boot grip aids concealment without sacrificing control.
The double/single action system gets mixed feedback. Some users appreciate the single-action option for deliberate shots; others find the double-action pull heavier than they prefer for a carry gun and put it through a dry-fire break-in period to smooth it out.
.357 Magnum recoil in a 23 oz revolver is expected to be noticeable, and it is. Owners who run .357 full-power loads describe the recoil as snappy. Most carry .38 Special +P for day-to-day and reserve .357 for serious defensive loads.
Price is a common discussion point. The K6S is priced above competing small-frame revolvers, and buyers regularly debate whether the tighter tolerances and finish justify the premium versus a Smith & Wesson J-frame or Taurus 856 at lower cost. Most who buy it at full price feel the quality difference is real; budget-conscious buyers sometimes conclude otherwise.
