Chambered in .280 Ackley Improved, the Kimber Mountain Ascent Peak is a bolt-action rifle built for minimal carry weight in the mountains. It has a 24-inch stainless, match-grade barrel with a KimPro II finish, an aluminum receiver, and a stock built by H-S Precision from fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, bedded on a full-length aluminum block for rigidity. The rifle feeds from a 4-round internal magazine and includes a suppressor adapter, sling, and rifle case.
