Owners of the Les Baer Premier II consistently point to the tight slide-to-frame fit as the first thing they notice out of the box. The 1.5-inch accuracy guarantee is a significant draw, and most buyers report their pistols meeting or exceeding it at the bench. The Premier II builds a reputation quickly among serious pistol shooters.

The blue/black finish and wood grips appeal to buyers who want a traditional aesthetic. Some owners note the tight tolerances require a break-in period and that the pistol can be particular about ammunition choices until fully run in. Trigger feel is generally described as excellent, though a small number of buyers find it too light for their preference.

At Les Baer's price point, the Premier II invites direct comparison to custom shop work from other makers. The common criticism is cost of entry rather than any functional shortfall. Aftermarket support is broad since the Premier II follows standard pistol pattern dimensions, which owners who plan to further customize appreciate.
