Owners of the 590 Bliksem tend to appreciate the Rhodesian Brushstroke finish as a distinctive choice that sets it apart from standard tactical shotguns. The FDE furniture and AfterShock grip get positive marks for comfort during extended sessions, though some find the grip style takes adjustment coming from a traditional stock.

The short barrel draws the most discussion. Those who go through the transfer process see the Bliksem as a compact tool worth the paperwork; others question whether the legal overhead is worth it compared to a standard-length 590. The Picatinny rail is treated as table stakes at this price point.

Overall, the 590 platform has a strong track record and the Bliksem trades on that reputation. The common critique is that the Rhodesian pattern, while eye-catching, makes the gun harder to keep looking clean in the field.
