Detailed Features

• Lightning Bolt Action (LBA) Trigger: Mossberg's patented adjustable trigger lets the shooter set pull weight to their preference, which translates directly to better accuracy potential.

• Fluted Barrel: The fluting trims weight from the 22-inch barrel and improves heat dissipation during extended firing.

• Spiral Fluted Bolt: Reduces surface contact for a smoother cycling action.

• Weaver Scope Bases: Factory-installed bases accept most standard scope rings, so optics can be mounted without additional machining.

Owners of the Patriot in .350 Legend generally appreciate the walnut stock for its appearance and feel. The wood furniture elevates it visually above synthetic-stocked options at similar price points, and most find the forend comfortable to grip.

The bolt action gets consistent positive feedback for its smooth operation. Accuracy in .350 Legend is frequently mentioned as a strong point, particularly for deer hunting at typical woods distances. Recoil is described as mild and the trajectory is manageable out to the ranges most hunters need.

Weight is the most common criticism. At 6.5 lbs. the rifle is serviceable but not featherlight, and some hunters who cover a lot of ground find it tiring over a full day. Aftermarket accessory availability is another recurring topic. While the basics are covered, options specifically tailored to this model are more limited than for more popular platforms.

Overall sentiment is positive, particularly among hunters who prioritize the .350 Legend for its straight-wall cartridge compliance in states with those restrictions.
