Features

The adjustable length of pull runs from 12" to 13", letting the stock grow with the shooter rather than requiring an upgrade after a season or two. The fluted 20-inch barrel sheds weight and cools faster during sustained shooting. Weaver-style bases come installed, so mounting the included 3-9x40mm scope is straightforward. The LBA trigger is user-adjustable for pull weight, which helps new shooters find a setting that works for their technique.

Usage

The Patriot Youth handles sport shooting competitions and youth hunting trips equally well. The 6.5 Creedmoor is a flat-shooting cartridge that works on deer-sized game and is effective at the ranges a young hunter is likely to attempt. The adjustable stock and included scope reduce the initial investment considerably compared to buying components separately.

The Mossberg Patriot Youth 6.5 Creedmoor Bolt-Action Rifle with Scope Combo earns positive feedback, particularly from parents putting a first hunting rifle in a young shooter's hands.

The light weight and manageable recoil are mentioned consistently. 6.5 Creedmoor is mild enough for youth shooters without giving up effectiveness on medium game, and that balance gets frequent praise. The included scope adds real value - owners appreciate having a functional optic right away rather than treating it as a placeholder.

Build quality holds up. Most reviewers describe it as solid and reliable, which matters when you're handing a rifle to a newer shooter who may not be as careful with it as a seasoned adult.

The main caveat in user feedback is fit. Body size varies significantly among youth shooters, and while the adjustable LOP (12" to 13") helps, some find even 12" is still long for smaller kids. Proper fit takes priority for both safety and accuracy, so checking dimensions against the shooter before purchase is worth the effort.
