The Pietta 1873 Great Western II Pendleton is a single-action .357 Magnum revolver with a 4.75-inch barrel and a 6-shot cylinder. It's built on a steel frame in the classic Old West pattern, with an exposed hammer and a blued, engraved finish carried across the barrel and cylinder. The Pendleton Round-Up designation ties this revolver to Pietta's licensed western rodeo series, marked out by its engraved grip panels.

Owners of Pietta's 1873-pattern revolvers, including the Pendleton Round-Up variant, generally describe the fit and action as solid for an Italian-made reproduction. The single-action lockup feels tight on most examples out of the box, though a few buyers mention the action benefits from a break-in period before cylinder timing feels fully smooth.

The 4.75-inch barrel keeps the gun quick to draw and easy to carry, and the exposed hammer makes single-action cocking intuitive for cowboy action shooters and collectors. Some shooters find the engraved grip panels a bit slim for long range sessions and swap in aftermarket grips.

Compared to original Colt Single Action Army revolvers, the Pietta line is seen as an affordable way into single-action shooting, with the Pendleton Round-Up's engraved finish adding collector appeal. Parts and grip options from the wider cowboy action aftermarket are easy to find, which owners like when customizing the gun.
