The Pietta Keeper Of The Plains is a single-action revolver chambered in .45 Colt with a 4.75-inch barrel and a 6-round cylinder. It has an engraved black finish and Eagle Feather grip panels, giving it a distinctive western-style appearance built for cowboy-action and display use alike. The Keeper Of The Plains name marks it as the engraved, dressed-up version of Pietta's Keeper single-action line rather than a plain working-gun finish.

Owners of the Keeper Of The Plains tend to buy it as much for looks as for shooting, and most report the engraved black finish and Eagle Feather grips look sharper in person than in photos. It draws comments at the range and at cowboy-action events where a distinctive single action stands out from a plain blued gun.

Handling feedback is mostly positive: the cylinder locks up tight and the action feels smooth for a revolver at this price. A minority of buyers note that fit and finish quality can vary between individual guns, which is a known trait of imported single-action reproductions in general.

On value, most owners feel the .45 Colt Keeper Of The Plains punches above its price for an engraved revolver. The recurring gripe is that holsters and spare grips sized for this exact engraved variant are less common than for a standard-finish single action.
