Owners of the Proof Research Elevation MTR 2.0 cite the carbon fiber barrel as the primary draw. The weight reduction over a comparable steel-barreled rifle is meaningful when carrying the gun in the field for extended periods, and the barrel's stiffness under heat is consistently mentioned in long-range contexts.

The FDE finish is well-regarded for field use. Owners note it blends naturally in most hunting terrain and the finish holds up to moderate hard use without obvious wear in typical conditions.

At the Proof Research price point, expectations are high and some owners feel the stock or chassis options should be broader. Customer service and lead times on special configurations get mixed marks, and a few owners note the rifle took time to arrive from order. The trigger is described by most as clean, though a subset finds the pull weight heavier than preferred.
