There's a torsion spring or something like that that even if you go like that it fully goes into battery.

Love how it pops on and off, but I am curious how that holds up over time.

Target Focused Life

When I get into the grip, my hand is rubbing right across the receiver. Now, that part of the receiver is angled down, so it doesn't feel crazy uncomfortable.

Target Focused Life

I am super impressed with the Retay Ace. For the money, what you are getting in this package is pretty dang awesome.

Owners of the Retay ACE in Realtree Max-7 often pick it for waterfowl and timber hunting, where the pattern blends naturally. The 28-gauge chambering draws praise for reduced recoil compared to larger gauges, making it a comfortable all-day carry.

The 28-inch barrel length gets positive feedback for swing characteristics on moving targets. Some owners mention the gas-operated system is finicky with light target loads but settles in with field loads after a few boxes.

On value, the ACE occupies a middle ground in the semi-auto shotgun market. Hunters who want camo and semi-auto in a lighter gauge generally find it worth the price; those who prioritize choke selection variety sometimes wish the included options were broader.
