• Slide is cut for a red dot optic and serrated front and rear for a positive grip when racking.
• White dot front sight pairs with a black serrated rear sight.
• Interchangeable backstraps let the grip be fit to different hand sizes.
• Ambidextrous controls and a flat-face trigger round out the compact frame.

Owners of the RM1X Comp generally compare it against more established compact 9mm pistols and come away impressed with the fit and the compensated barrel's effect on muzzle rise. A few new owners mention Rost Martin is a newer name to them, so they watched for a break-in period before fully trusting the pistol.

For carry and range use, the compact frame and interchangeable backstraps get praised for fitting a range of hand sizes, and the optic-ready slide is a common reason buyers pick this model over a plain-sighted compact. The serrated slide and flat-face trigger also draw positive comments for control during rapid strings.

On value, buyers weigh the RM1X Comp against pistols from more established brands and generally see it as reasonably priced for a compensated, optic-ready compact, though aftermarket holster and accessory options are more limited than for older platforms.
