What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
The compensator does make a pretty big difference in felt recoil with this gun so I definitely recommend it if you're looking to add more options to your M&P.
The M&P is the slide serrations they are very aggressive both front and back so you're never going to slide off when you're trying to manipulate the slide or doing press checks it makes it really easy.
I'm not a huge fan of suppressor height sight they just kind of get in the way of my optic.
The grip texture it is incredibly coarse it feels like 80 grit sandpaper which could be a good thing or a bad thing if you have little baby hands it might hurt a little bit if you shoot a lot.
This does have a nicer mag release it's very positive it just shoots the mag right out so that is one pro of this gun is you don't have to worry about an empty mag sticking.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The M&P9 M2.0 Compact with threaded barrel draws consistently positive feedback. The ergonomics and grip texture come up often. Most shooters find it comfortable across a range of hand sizes, and the palmswell inserts help. The compact format strikes a balance between concealability and a usable sight radius that works for both carry and range sessions.
Reliability is a recurring point: the gun runs a variety of ammunition without issues. The threaded barrel is a draw for anyone interested in running a suppressor or adding a muzzle device.
Trigger feel gets mentioned as an improvement over earlier M&P generations. Accuracy benefits from the clean break. Some shooters do wish for more aftermarket trigger options.
The main criticism is the 10+1 capacity, which some feel lags behind other compacts in the same category. A few users also suggest swapping the standard sights for night sights if low-light shooting is a priority. Otherwise the platform has a solid reputation for day-to-day reliability.
