Details

The vent-rib barrel helps with target tracking and keeps heat dissipation reasonable during sustained use. The bead front sight is quick to acquire. Synthetic stock resists moisture and normal field abuse. The pump cycles smoothly and the 20-gauge chambering keeps recoil manageable, a practical choice for smaller-framed shooters or anyone who prefers lighter recoil for a day at the clays range. At 7.5 lbs it's not ultralight, but it handles well.

The Savage 320 in 20 gauge consistently gets called out as a good value pump gun. Owners report the pump action runs reliably and the 20-gauge recoil is easy to manage for extended shooting sessions. The matte black finish and synthetic stock hold up fine in normal conditions, though a few buyers have noted the finish showing wear sooner than expected under heavy field use. Stock length is a frequent comment. Some taller shooters find it a bit short and suggest adding a recoil pad or spacer for a better fit. For the price, most people consider it a solid field and range gun, and it draws repeat recommendations from users who've put real round counts through it.
