The Savage Axis 2 .270 Win with green stock gets generally positive marks, with a few recurring themes across user discussions.
Accuracy is the most praised aspect. Owners report good performance out of the box, with the AccuTrigger's adjustable pull drawing consistent credit for contributing to precision. Recoil with .270 Win loads is described as manageable by most users across experience levels.
The price point is a major selling point. Most reviewers treat it as a strong value, noting it performs comparably to more expensive options. Build quality gets mixed-to-positive reviews, solid overall, though a few users note it feels less refined than higher-end rifles.
The green stock has a divided reception. Some appreciate the lighter weight and the look; others prefer wood or different synthetic options for comfort. New shooters frequently cite ease of handling as a reason they chose it. Customization, particularly scope mounting, is a natural first step most owners take.
Customer service experiences with Savage Arms vary; most interactions are described positively, though some users report slower response times.
