Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Mark II FV is well-regarded in .22 LR circles, particularly among shooters focused on target shooting and small game. The heavy barrel gets consistent praise for adding stability and reducing felt recoil, which shows up in tighter groups. The AccuTrigger is a frequent highlight. Adjustable pull weight at this price point is uncommon.
Affordability comes up often, and the bolt action is appreciated for its simplicity. Shooters looking to develop trigger discipline tend to prefer it over semi-auto options for that reason.
The stock draws the most criticism. Compared to higher-end rifles, the material and fit feel basic, and some owners swap it out for aftermarket options to improve ergonomics. That said, most agree the trade-off is reasonable given the price. Overall sentiment leans positive, with the performance-to-cost ratio being the main draw.

The Mark II shoots well, and its trigger is the real standout for me. It feels fantastic and contributes greatly to how much I enjoy the rifle. My one reservation is the buttstock, which I simply do not care for. Even with that complaint, the strong shooting performance and excellent trigger define the experience far more than the stock does. It is a rifle with one clear drawback for me, paired with two qualities that have proven much more important in actual use.
