Usage
The CPX-3 is primarily a concealed carry and budget home defense pistol. The .380 ACP is lighter-recoiling than 9mm, which suits new shooters and those who want a quick-access gun that doesn't punish with felt recoil. The DAO trigger is long and consistent, manageable once familiar, but noticeably heavier than most striker-fired pistols. SCCY's price point makes the CPX-3 one of the most affordable .380 ACP options with a double-stack-style 10-round capacity.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
The sky' CP x3 shoots really well the double action only trigger is long but it's very smooth and light for a double action.
I've had this to the range quite a bit I put a lot of rounds through it it's still performing very well.
Unfortunately the CP x3 did throw a few jams during my testing in about 250 rounds shot for the video I had a handful of rounds nosedive on the feed ramp.
The gun is very comfortable to shoot and because it's so big for a 380 and uses a real locked breech instead of being straight blowback it's a soft shooter.
If your mom calls you one day and says she got one of these pistols don't worry about it she's probably gonna be just fine.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The SCCY CPX-3 .380 ACP typically attracts buyers looking for an affordable, concealable .380 with double-digit capacity. The combination of 10+1 rounds in a 15 oz pistol is its clearest selling point. Most comparable .380 subcompacts hold 6-7 rounds.
At the price point, buyers generally accept trade-offs. Reliability with ball ammunition is reported as adequate; hollow point feeding is inconsistent in some reports, though not universal. The DAO trigger is long and heavy by comparison to most modern striker-fired pistols, which takes adjustment. Ergonomics for smaller hands tend toward positive feedback; larger hands sometimes find the grip limiting.
Affordability and SCCY's customer service are consistently positive topics. The company has a reasonable warranty reputation. Overall community consensus treats the CPX-3 as a solid budget entry-level carry option, not a premium pistol, and most positive reviews are framed in that context.
