Owners of the Anime-15 and other Shark Coast Tactical AR-pattern pistols generally report reliable cycling right out of the box. As with other smaller-volume AR builders, some buyers mention giving the castle nut and other fasteners a check before heavy use, but few report function problems once the gun is broken in.

The Black Cherry Cerakote finish draws a lot of comment, since it stands out from the usual black or FDE builds, and owners like that the Magpul MOE grip and SBA3 brace make for a comfortable, easy-to-configure pistol package. The compact size suits it well to home defense or range use where a full-size AR-pattern rifle is less practical.

Being built on the AR-pattern, the Anime-15 benefits from a deep aftermarket for grips, handguards, and optics mounts, and buyers tend to view it as a solid, customizable option at a lower price point than major AR-pattern pistol brands, even if the finish is the main draw for some.
