The Distressed model gets attention first for its Green Distressed Cerakote finish; owners either like the worn, tactical look or find it a bit much, but reports of the coating chipping or wearing poorly are rare. Underneath the finish it is a standard mil-spec AR-15 build, and shooters generally find it runs reliably once it has been broken in.

Handling-wise, the M-LOK handguard and Magpul stock draw the same praise as on other Shark Coast rifles: comfortable, adjustable, and easy to add accessories to. The 16-inch barrel keeps the rifle maneuverable without feeling front-heavy.

On value, buyers see the Cerakote treatment as a way to get a distinctive-looking AR-15 without paying custom-shop prices, and note that the AR platform's aftermarket ecosystem means parts and accessories are never hard to find if they want to swap components later.
