Sig's Legion series pistols have a strong following for fit and finish, and the P226 X-Five Legion carries that reputation with a tight slide-to-frame fit and a crisp single-action trigger that owners often compare favorably to guns costing more. The factory ROMEO-X optic mount is a common selling point since it removes the need for a separate milling job or plate search.

In the hand, the X-Five's grip and magwell make fast reloads easier, and the weight of the all-metal frame helps tame recoil during rapid strings of fire. A few owners mention the single-action-only design means extra attention to the manual of arms compared with a standard DA/SA P226.

Most buyers see the Legion package, with the optic, extra magazines, and Cerakote finish included, as good value against building the same setup piecemeal, though the price point still sits above a standard P226 for shooters on a tighter budget.
