The Sig Sauer P226 XCarry Legion carries the reputation of the broader P226 line, and owners consistently describe the DA/SA action as smooth and reliable through extended use. The Legion-series fit and finish get frequent praise, though a few owners note that a metal-frame DA/SA gun costs more to buy into than a comparable striker-fired pistol.

The alloy frame and Hogue G10 grips give the XCarry Legion a substantial, controllable feel that many shooters prefer for range work and home defense over a lighter polymer gun. The factory-mounted red dot and XRAY3 sights are popular with owners who want a co-witness setup right out of the box, though the added weight makes it a less common pick for all-day concealed carry.

The Legion package commands a premium over a base P226X, and owners generally see that premium as paying for the trigger, grips, and optic mounting done at the factory rather than as an aftermarket project. Sig's parts and accessory ecosystem is broad, so magazines, sights, and holsters are easy to find for this platform.
