Detailed Features
The single-action trigger requires the hammer to be cocked -- the P938 is designed to be carried cocked-and-locked, safety on. At 16 oz and 5.9 inches overall it is among the smaller and lighter options in the micro-compact 9mm category. The SIGLITE night sights provide tritium glow in low light without any additional accessories. The Hogue rubber grip adds traction and cushions the hand during firing. Ambidextrous thumb safety works for both right- and left-handed shooters without modification.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
It's a great gun by Sig Sauer. Um it comes with a Hogue Piranha grips, comes with night sights, and it is a nice little carry piece all around.
The gun's super easy to run it is a single action only gun.
I mean it's a Sig I'm a Sig fan I think they make great quality Firearms.
It is ambidextrous so if you're a lefty you can run this gun right out of the box.
You do have a nice fat wide grip on there so if you do have large hands it's still a very shootable handgun.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
P938 owners consistently cite the size-to-caliber ratio as the main draw -- 9mm in a 16 oz package is genuinely compact, and the SIGLITE night sights are considered a meaningful standard feature at this price tier. Concealment and carry comfort get strong marks.
Recoil is the most common criticism. The single-action platform in a small alloy frame produces a snappier feel than heavier micro-compacts, which some shooters find affects follow-up shot speed. Magazine capacity at 7+1 is noted as a limitation compared to higher-capacity competitors; this is a recurring discussion point without a clear consensus. A minority of owners report a break-in period where reliability with certain ammunition was inconsistent before settling in. Price is viewed as high by some owners relative to competing platforms, though most consider it appropriate given the build quality.
