Features

The over/under action cycles smoothly and allows quick follow-up shots. At 28 inches, the barrel gives a good balance between swing speed and pointability, long enough for consistent leads on crossing birds, short enough for tight cover. The walnut stock is solid and well-fitted, and at 7.6 lbs the gun carries comfortably through a full day without beating you up.

Owners of the SKB 720 Field Elite generally speak well of the build quality and fit. The action gets consistent praise for being smooth, and most find the balance good for both clays and upland hunting. The 20-gauge recoil is manageable, and accuracy reports are positive across the board.

The most common complaints are about weight, a few shooters find 7.6 lbs tiring on long walks, and price relative to comparable models. Aftermarket support and customization options are limited, which matters to buyers who like to tinker. Overall the SKB 720 is regarded as a quality gun, but buyers are advised to handle it before purchase to check fit and weight for their use case.
