Owners of the Springfield Armory Hellion in OD Green find the color a practical field choice. The bullpup layout keeps the overall rifle length short while the 16-inch barrel preserves velocity from the 5.56 NATO chambering. Most buyers who choose the OD Green finish cite field use as the primary driver.

The ejection system is a recurring topic. Its ambidextrous capability is a selling point for left-handed shooters, though some owners mention needing a break-in period for consistent ejection. The bullpup trigger linkage receives mixed feedback, with some owners satisfied and others noting a longer, heavier pull than a traditional layout.

Gear Up package buyers generally appreciate the bundled extras, though some would prefer to select accessories individually. Build quality on the Hellion is consistently rated well; the OD Green finish wears evenly and holds up to regular handling.
