Detailed Features

The ambidextrous safety works equally well for left- and right-handed shooters. The Timney two-stage trigger has a smooth take-up and a clean break, which helps with shot-to-shot consistency. The Magpul CTR stock adjusts length-of-pull quickly without tools. The barrel is 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel with a black nitride finish. The optic-ready platform has no factory iron sights, so you mount whatever scope or red dot fits your use.

Owners of the Stag Arms Midnight Bronze .308 Win 16" rifle tend to focus on a few consistent themes. Build quality comes up often. The rifle feels solid, and the midnight bronze finish draws comments for standing out from the usual black or flat dark earth options. Reliability gets mentioned regularly too, with users reporting smooth operation and consistent accuracy across different shooting conditions. The ergonomics, especially the Magpul CTR stock, get favorable marks for comfort during longer range sessions or hunts. Customization is a natural topic given how much aftermarket support the AR-10 platform has, and owners share their optic and accessory choices freely. The main criticisms center on weight, at 10.5 lbs it is on the heavier end, and some discussion of customer service experiences, which land on both sides. At its price point, most users consider it solid value for a .308 semi-auto.
