Owners of the T3x Hunter in 6.5x55 Swedish tend to appreciate the caliber choice as a nod to a proven cartridge with a long hunting tradition. The combination with Tikka's smooth bolt and clean trigger makes it a capable field rifle right out of the box. Some find the walnut stock finish modest compared to premium alternatives at a higher price tier.

The T3x Hunter in this chambering is popular among hunters who want a classic Scandinavian cartridge in a modern chassis. Recoil is mild and the 22.40-inch barrel gives good velocity. A few owners note that factory ammunition for 6.5x55 can be harder to find locally than more common calibers.

Reliability draws consistent praise, with owners reporting smooth cycling and dependable feeding across a range of ammunition. The trigger sometimes draws mixed feedback, with some preferring a lighter pull for long-range use, while others find it well-suited for field shooting as delivered.
