The Traditions Buckstalker XT RBP is an in-line .50 caliber muzzleloader with a 24-inch Chromoly steel barrel finished in blue. It runs the Elite XT trigger system with a rebounding hammer for a consistent pull, backed by a manual cross-block safety for added handling control. The 24-inch barrel length gives it a balance of maneuverability in dense brush and reach for longer field shots.

Owners of in-line muzzleloaders like the Buckstalker XT generally like a trigger system with a light, consistent pull, and the Elite XT setup gets credit for taking away some of the mushiness older in-line triggers are known for. The rebounding hammer design is seen as a safety plus by hunters who carry the rifle loaded in the field.

A .50 caliber in-line with a 24-inch barrel strikes a middle ground that most hunters find easy to carry through brush without giving up much reach at longer ranges. The breech plug that removes by hand without tools is consistently mentioned as a real convenience for cleaning after a hunt, since black powder fouling is otherwise a chore.

Traditions rifles are generally viewed as a solid value entry point into muzzleloading compared to some of the premium in-line brands. Aftermarket support is thinner than for centerfire rifles, so owners tend to stick with factory sights and accessories rather than chasing upgrades.
