Detailed Features

The gas-operated action cycles smoothly and damps recoil compared to inertia alternatives. Fiber optic front sights improve target acquisition in lower light. The chrome-lined chamber and barrel resist moisture and clean up easily. Three Beretta-style choke tubes (IC, M, F) are included for adjusting shot patterns.

The TriStar Viper G2 20GA in the walnut configuration gets good reviews from owners who want the look of a classic wood-stocked field gun at a reasonable price. The Turkish walnut finish is consistently praised for its appearance, and at 5.80 lbs. the gun is noticeably light on the carry.

Reliability with standard loads is widely reported as solid, and the gas system keeps recoil manageable even for new shooters. The semi-auto action cycles cleanly across a range of ammunition types.

Affordability is a recurring theme. Most buyers treat it as strong value versus pricier European brands. Customer service experiences have been mixed for some owners. A small number of users have noted occasional issues with lower-quality shells.
