The Walther CCP M2 in Angel Blue is a compact 9mm pistol built around Walther's gas-delayed blowback system, which noticeably softens recoil compared to a straight blowback design. It's sized for concealed carry and handles well for everyday use.

Detailed Features

The gas-delayed blowback (Walther calls it the Soft Covert System) reduces felt recoil, making follow-up shots easier to manage, particularly useful for shooters who are recoil-sensitive. The grip is well-contoured and comfortable for extended sessions. Controls are ambidextrous, covering both right- and left-handed shooters without modification. At 1.18 inches wide and 6.41 inches overall, it fits most IWB and OWB holsters without bulk.

Disassembly is straightforward: the CCP M2 breaks down for cleaning without requiring the trigger to be pulled, which some users consider a safety plus.

Usage

For concealed carry, the slim profile and 8+1 capacity keep the pistol manageable. New shooters tend to appreciate the lighter slide pull relative to comparable 9mm compacts. At the range it's accurate and easy to control, though feeding or ejection hiccups during the break-in period have been reported by some users. Most resolve after a few hundred rounds.

The Walther CCP M2 Angel Blue generates generally positive reactions, with a few consistent criticisms.

Ergonomics are well-regarded. Users describe the grip as comfortable for extended shooting, with texture that holds without being abrasive. The gas-delayed blowback system draws specific praise for cutting recoil. This comes up frequently from new shooters and anyone sensitive to snap.

For concealed carry, the slim width and light weight work in its favor. Most users find it easy to hide under clothing without printing. The slide pull is softer than many competitors, which helps shooters with limited hand strength.

Accuracy feedback is favorable at typical defensive and range distances. Some users report occasional feeding or ejection issues early on, though these tend to disappear after break-in. Disassembly is consistently called out as a positive. Cleaning is simple without unusual steps.

The Angel Blue finish gets mixed reactions: some buyers specifically seek it out, others would prefer a more conventional option. Price relative to competitors comes up in discussions, with opinions split on whether the gas-delayed system justifies the cost over a simpler blowback design. Safety features are appreciated, though a few users note that proper training matters more than any passive safety mechanism.
