Usage

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
One of my biggest complaints about the ppq is the texture they fixed that that was the biggest thing i was interested in when i first heard about this pistol.
The trigger oh man I remember the PPQ having a great trigger and this one is even better.
The best trigger on the market to begin with and this one in my personal opinion is a little bit better obviously i'm going to give you my exact opinions when i go shoot the gun.
Texture really does help a little bit less recoil and pulse than the ppq part of that's the texture part of this the higher ride beavertail trigger's phenomenal.
The gun has been 100 reliable thus far even in negative 20 which i think is pretty impressive.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owner feedback on the Walther PDP is broadly positive, with a few recurring complaints worth knowing before buying.
The ergonomics get consistent praise. The grip texture gives a secure hold without being abrasive, and the overall hand feel is comfortable across different hand sizes. The trigger draw is widely described as smooth with a short reset, which translates to tighter groups and faster follow-ups. Out-of-the-box accuracy is a common positive highlight, and owners note it feeds reliably with a variety of ammunition, which matters for a defensive pistol.
The optics-ready slide and accessory compatibility come up often as positives for shooters who want to customize.
On the critical side:
- The full-size frame makes it bulkier than compact carry options, which matters if concealability is a priority
- The price sits toward the higher end of the striker-fired market, and some buyers weigh that against competitors at lower price points
- Shooters transitioning from other platforms sometimes mention a short adjustment period getting used to the controls
- Extra magazine availability and cost draw occasional complaints
Overall, owners tend to view it as a capable, well-built pistol that earns its price, though buyers primarily focused on concealed carry may find the size a limiting factor.
