Detailed Features
The inertia system uses the recoil energy from each round to cycle the action, which keeps the internal parts count low and the system reliable in wet or dirty conditions. The vent rib barrel provides a consistent sighting plane. Five included chokes (IC, IM, M, I, F) cover upland and waterfowl distances. The fiber optic front sight improves target acquisition in early morning light. The fixed walnut stock with matte nickel receiver gives the gun a traditional aesthetic that distinguishes it from synthetic-stocked alternatives in the same segment.
Usage
At 7 lbs with a 28-inch barrel it handles well for upland and field use. The inertia system is light on maintenance compared to gas designs. The walnut stock is the primary visual differentiator. It suits hunters who want a traditional-looking semi-auto rather than a synthetic/camo platform.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
Ah those hurt ladies and gentlemen those hurt.
Target loads really no issues very very comfortable gun to shoot.
Man it's hard for me to get a rhythm on that trigger reliability I think it's right in there with your inertia shotguns.
I like this gun I wish it came out of the box with a way to adjust length to pull so I can make it fit me better.
The one other downside that I I kind of was to turn off on this gun was the amount of recoil I experienced in my face when it came to the heavier black cloud and Prairie storm loads.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
Owners consistently highlight two things about the 18i Deluxe: the appearance and the reliability. The walnut and matte nickel combination stands out positively compared to synthetic alternatives, and the inertia action earns consistent marks for smooth, dependable cycling.
Minimal felt recoil relative to the gun's weight is a recurring positive. Most owners report the action running cleanly across a range of loads without adjustment.
Price is the main critical theme. The 18i Deluxe sits above mid-range semi-autos, and buyers weigh the walnut stock and overall fit/finish against the cost difference. Most who purchase land on the positive side, but it's a considered decision rather than an impulse buy in this segment.
