Detailed Features
The carbon fiber stock keeps weight down without sacrificing rigidity. The 22-inch barrel with a 1:8 twist handles the full range of 6.5 Creedmoor loads well. The TriggerTech trigger delivers a crisp pull for consistent shot placement, and the recoil pad reduces felt recoil for quick follow-up shots. The left-handed configuration addresses a genuine gap. Left-handed bolt guns in this weight class are uncommon.
Usage
The Backcountry Carbon is built for hunters who cover ground on foot, where shaving ounces adds up over miles. It also works as a precision range rifle given the caliber and barrel specs. The Cerakote finish holds up to weather.

What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
This is an ultra light rifle which inherently is more difficult to shoot.
The tika shoots absolutely fantastic given the small amount of sampling of factory ammunition though it's difficult to say one is more inherently ACC accurate than the other.
Seize up and I struggled to pull the bolt open a couple times.
The one thing I don't like about the tika is the cheap feeling stock and the very cheap betting system.
I did have problems with brass casings getting stuck pretty hard in the chamber area after using this rifle.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Weatherby Mark V Carbon in 6.5 Creedmoor gets consistent praise for its light weight and accuracy. Owners appreciate that the carbon fiber construction brings it down to 5.8 lbs without making the rifle feel flimsy. It handles and balances well. Tight groupings at distance are regularly reported, which is expected from a quality 22-inch barrel in this caliber. The TriggerTech trigger is frequently called out as a standout, and the ergonomics get good marks for comfort across different shooting positions.
The main criticisms are price and availability. Some buyers feel it sits high relative to comparable bolt guns, and certain configurations or finishes can be hard to source. These are recurring themes across the Mark V line rather than specific to this model.
For hunters and precision shooters who want a lightweight, weather-resistant bolt gun in 6.5 Creedmoor, the Backcountry Carbon is well-regarded. The cost is a real consideration, but most owners feel the build quality justifies it.
