The Winchester Wildcat Combo is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle that works well across sport shooting, small game hunting, and training use. At 4 lbs it's light enough to carry without fatigue, and the included Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32mm scope extends its useful range right out of the box.
The ramped post front sight and ghost ring rear sight are included for use without the scope, and the integral Picatinny rail handles the Vortex Crossfire II or any other optic the shooter prefers. An ambidextrous magazine release makes reloads equally quick from either hand. The 10-round rotary magazine keeps the profile clean and feeds reliably.
In all honesty the ease of cleaning and the last round bolt hold open are the two main features that persuaded me to purchase the wildcare.
It has a tab on the back of the magazine right here that activates the bolt hold open on the rifle which is pretty neat i think.
The other dislike I have is the trigger pool to put it bluntly the trigger pool is heavy.
The worst of the two downfalls is that the magazines seem to just sometimes fall apart.
Even with the problems I have had with 1022 I still think the Ruger 1022 is the king of semi-automatic 22 long rifle Firearms.
