The Winchester XPERT SR Combo is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 LR with a matte blued finish and black polymer synthetic stock. Its 16.5" threaded barrel (1/2x28) is paired with ramped post front and adjustable leaf rear sights, and the package includes a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32mm scope. At 4.5 lbs. and 34.75" overall, it's light enough to carry all day.
The adjustable rimfire trigger lets you dial in pull weight to match your preference, which directly helps with shot-to-shot consistency. The threaded barrel accepts suppressors or muzzle devices without any additional machining. Ambidextrous magazine release means lefties and righties can run the gun the same way. The included Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32mm scope is a practical choice for rimfire distances. The optic is clear and the adjustment clicks are repeatable.
At 4.5 lbs., the rifle doesn't fight you during long range sessions or while moving through brush after small game.
It is a pretty light rifle. The trigger on this thing is really good. It just breaks. There's no creep to it or anything.
Not real fan of the way the open sights adjust on there because when you loosen that screw up, your top piece, your rear sight can move all directions, not just forward and backward, but side to side, too.
They are not very visible. Uh these would definitely benefit you to uh put a little bit of paint on them so you can see them a little bit easier.
I think it's a pretty good rifle anyways. Extremely smooth on the action there.

Most owners of the Winchester XPERT SR Combo are satisfied with its accuracy and day-to-day reliability for target shooting and small game hunting. The included Vortex scope is consistently called out as a genuine value-add rather than an afterthought. It helps new shooters get on target faster. The lightweight build is another frequent positive, especially for buyers who plan to carry it for extended periods.
On the critical side, some units have shown feeding or ejection hiccups, though these appear to be scattered rather than systematic. Build quality concerns come up occasionally, with a handful of owners feeling certain components could be more durable over years of use. The scope works well for most, but a portion of experienced shooters swap it out for something with higher magnification or better turrets.
Overall the rifle lands well for beginners and families looking for a first .22 LR. More seasoned shooters tend to keep it with minor upgrades rather than replace it outright.
