The Winchester XPR is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5 PRC. It's built around a 24-inch barrel with a 1-in-8 twist rate, which stabilizes the heavier projectiles the 6.5 PRC cartridge typically uses. The matte black synthetic stock keeps weight at 7 lbs and holds up well in field conditions. Magazine capacity is 3 rounds plus 1 in the chamber.
This particular configuration is left-handed. The bolt handle, safety, and stock are all mirrored for left-hand operation, which is still a less common option at this price point.
The 24-inch barrel gives the 6.5 PRC cartridge enough dwell time to reach meaningful velocity without becoming unwieldy. Rate of twist is 1-in-8 inches, well-suited to 140-147 gr bullets common in long-range hunting loads.
The synthetic stock is lightweight and stable, and the two-position thumb safety is straightforward to engage or disengage cleanly.
The left-hand configuration covers the stock geometry, bolt throw, and safety placement. So left-handed shooters aren't just flipping a standard rifle over but getting a purpose-built layout.
I think it's the Achilles heel of this gun.
It's pretty soft rubber does a good job mitigating felt recoil in my opinion.
It's got a great tight pull there's no creep in it you're going to love the absolute trigger.
Every serious shooter I know wants to shoot lighter than three pounds.
It will impact accuracy. I feel like it's impacting my accuracy when I shoot.

Users who pick up the Winchester XPR 6.5 PRC Left-Hand generally come away positive, with a few recurring caveats.
Accuracy gets consistent praise. Shooters report tight groups at distance, and the 6.5 PRC cartridge's flat trajectory and good retained energy make it well-regarded for hunting medium to large game. The matte black finish is noted as practical. It resists glare in field conditions.
For left-handed shooters, having a factory left-hand option is genuinely appreciated. Winchester doesn't hedge this one; it's a proper left-hand build rather than a mirrored afterthought.
On the critical side, some users find the rifle heavier than ideal for long carries in rough terrain. The stock fit gets mixed reviews. It works for most shooters, but those with non-standard builds sometimes look at aftermarket stocks. Price is occasionally debated, with a segment of buyers feeling competing rifles offer comparable specs at similar or lower cost.
Accessory availability can be limited compared to more established product lines, which matters for shooters who want to customize heavily.
