What Reviewers Say
Quoted verbatim from YouTube reviews. Each link opens the video at the moment quoted.
The vanilla px4 compact is a good pistol right out of the box but most shooters who are really serious about training and concealed carry are probably going to find a couple of things that they would want to change.
This is the ultimate compromise gun meaning that it does all the big gun stuff in a little package it is lightweight it is easy to carry.
It's just way too smooth and slippery the talon grip decals do help with that but the rubbery texture is not the same as if the frame itself was textured.
The front sight wasn't so wide this pistol has a relatively short barrel which means a short sight radius combine that with a wide front sight and you've got a sight picture that's really unforgiving of any minor misalignment.
It's accurate and reliable it's got a good balance of shootability concealability safety and cost.
Customers Say
AI-generated insights derived from customer reviews and discussions on popular gun-enthusiast forums.
The Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Gen 2 draws generally favorable reviews, with some consistent criticisms worth knowing before buying.
Users regularly highlight the ergonomics. The grip fits a range of hand sizes well, and the overall weight makes it comfortable for all-day carry. Accuracy at the range is consistently praised, and the 9mm caliber keeps recoil manageable for most shooters. The Hi-Viz sights get specific call-outs for improving confidence in low-light conditions. The compact form factor working equally well for personal defense and recreational shooting is a recurring theme.
On the critical side, the trigger pull comes up often. Some shooters find it heavier or less smooth than competing pistols in this class, which can affect precision work. A few users note it feels slightly bulky compared to true subcompact options, making concealment less comfortable depending on body type and carry position. Magazine and aftermarket accessory availability is a known gap. The platform has fewer options than more ubiquitous designs. Some reviewers also mention a break-in period before achieving consistent reliability.
