The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, built on the X-Bolt 2 platform with an 18-inch fluted, threaded sporter barrel and a 4-round detachable magazine. The barrel and receiver carry a Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish, and the composite Vari-Tech stock is finished in Mossy Oak Bottomland camo for an adjustable, ergonomic fit. The shortened, threaded barrel is built to run a suppressor without adding excessive overall length.

Owners of the X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR tend to describe it as an easy rifle to carry on a hunt, pointing to the shortened sporter barrel and the Vari-Tech stock's adjustability as reasons it fits a range of body types without a trip to a gunsmith. The Smoked Bronze Cerakote finish gets regular praise for looking clean out of the box and holding up to field use.

The threaded, suppressor-ready barrel is a common reason buyers choose this model over a standard X-Bolt, and the top-tang safety with the bolt unlock button is generally seen as intuitive once a shooter gets used to it. A few owners mention the Mossy Oak Bottomland pattern is a matter of taste, since it stands out more than a solid color in some hunting environments.

On value, the X-Bolt 2 Speed SPR sits with Browning's other X-Bolt 2 variants, and buyers weighing it against other .308 Win bolt guns generally view the threaded barrel and adjustable trigger as worth the step up from an entry-level rifle. The DLX trigger draws consistent approval for breaking cleanly without extra tuning.
