This Browning bolt-action rifle, the X-Bolt 2 in Western Hunter LR trim, is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and aimed at long-range hunting. It has a 26-inch, free-floated sporter-contour steel barrel threaded for a radial muzzle brake, finished in matte blued. Detailed Features

• The threaded barrel carries a radial muzzle brake to tame recoil from the 7mm Rem Mag chambering.
• The Vari-Tech stock adjusts grip angle, comb height, and length of pull, and wears an OVIX camo finish.
• The steel receiver is drilled and tapped and mates to a Picatinny rail forend for optics and accessories.
• A tang safety sits at the top of the grip for quick, natural operation in the field.
• The matte blued metalwork covers both barrel and receiver for a consistent, low-glare finish.

Hunters who run the X-Bolt 2 Western Hunter LR generally rate Browning's build quality highly, and the matte blued finish on the barrel and receiver holds up well through a season of field carry. The 7mm Rem Mag chambering in this rifle is a common long-range hunting choice, and owners describe the action as smooth and consistent once it's broken in.

Ergonomics feedback leans positive: the adjustable Vari-Tech stock lets shooters dial in comb height and length of pull, which owners say makes a real difference on long sits in a blind or stand. The radial muzzle brake cuts down felt recoil, though some hunters swap it out or add a brake cover when shooting near others because of the added muzzle blast.

On value, the Western Hunter LR sits in the mid-to-upper part of Browning's lineup, and most owners feel the adjustable stock and threaded barrel justify the step up from a base model. Wide aftermarket support for X-Bolt stocks and triggers is frequently cited as a reason to stick with the platform long term.
