Shooters who pick up the Ridgeline FFT usually comment first on how light it feels compared to a standard hunting rifle, and most credit the carbon fiber barrel and stock for that. Build quality gets solid marks, with the machined receiver and fluted bolt seen as a step up from Christensen's entry-level lines, though a few owners mention needing a proper break-in before the action feels fully smooth.

In the field the reduced weight is the headline benefit for backcountry hunters covering ground on foot, and the side baffle brake helps keep recoil manageable in a rifle this light. Some shooters find an ultra-light rifle harder to hold steady off-hand and add a bipod or sling for stability.

On value, buyers weigh the Ridgeline FFT against heavier, cheaper bolt guns and generally feel the weight savings justify the price for a dedicated mountain or backcountry rifle. The Remington 700 pattern optics compatibility and TriggerTech trigger are both seen as points in its favor for owners who like to upgrade or service the rifle themselves.
