Owners of the Ridgeline FFT in 7mm PRC often comment on how light the rifle feels for a magnum-class chambering, crediting the carbon-fiber barrel and FFT stock. The TriggerTech trigger is a common highlight, with several owners saying it is noticeably better than what ships on comparable rifles from other makers.

In the field, hunters like the side-baffle brake for taming recoil in a rifle this light, though a few mention that a light magnum rifle still kicks more than a heavier steel-barreled equivalent. The Burnt Bronze and Barren Dune color combination gets regular praise for its field appearance.

On value, most buyers accept the premium price as the cost of the carbon fiber construction and included brake, while some feel a standard Ridgeline in the same chambering would perform similarly for hunting purposes at a lower cost.
