Description

The CVA Scout V2 LR is a single-shot centerfire pistol chambered in .44 Magnum with a 14-inch fluted barrel. It's a purpose-built hunting handgun. The long barrel and powerful caliber combination is suited for taking larger game at close to moderate range, and the fluted profile keeps weight down.

Key Specifications:

Manufacturer: CVA
Model: Scout V2 LR Pistol
Type: Single Shot Centerfire Pistol
Caliber: .44 Magnum
Barrel Length: 14 inches (Fluted)
Capacity: 1 Round
Finish: Stainless/Black
Condition: New in Box

Detailed Features:

The 14-inch fluted barrel is the defining spec here. Fluting reduces weight without meaningfully affecting stiffness, and the extra length squeezes more velocity out of .44 Magnum compared to a typical revolver barrel. Single-shot operation means every round counts, which tends to focus shot discipline.

The stainless/black finish holds up well in field conditions and resists corrosion from moisture. As a hunting platform, the Scout V2 LR is designed to accept a scope or red dot, which is the practical way to use a 14-inch pistol at hunting distances.

CVA Scout V2 LR .44 Magnum owners generally focus on two things: build quality and accuracy. The stainless steel barrel gets consistent praise for durability and corrosion resistance, and most shooters report the gun shoots more accurately than they expected from a pistol platform.

The .44 Magnum caliber draws approval for its versatility. It works for deer-sized game and handles different load weights reasonably well.

The ergonomics work for most users, though the gun's size and weight come up in longer field outings. A 14-inch pistol with a full magnum load produces noticeable recoil, which less experienced shooters mention as a learning curve.

The trigger gets mixed reviews, acceptable for hunting use but not exceptional, and some owners wish for a crisper break. Aftermarket accessories exist, which owners appreciate for adding optics or improving the setup.

Ammo availability for .44 Magnum can be inconsistent depending on location, which a few buyers flag as a practical consideration before committing to the platform.

Overall the Scout V2 LR has a solid following among hunters who want a packable, scoped handgun with real stopping power.
