The CZ 620 Field Select is a pump-action 20-gauge shotgun built for hunting, particularly upland birds and small game. Its select-grade Turkish walnut stock and gloss blue finish give it a traditional look that sets it apart from the synthetic-stocked field guns that dominate this price range. At 5.80 lbs and 49 inches overall with a 28-inch barrel, it carries lightly through the field without feeling flimsy.

Detailed Features:

The select-grade Turkish walnut stock has a pistol grip configuration and is finished to a level that you'd expect from a more expensive gun. It's not just cosmetic. The wood is dense enough to feel solid without adding meaningful weight.

Five interchangeable chokes come included: Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Light Modified, Modified, and Full. That covers essentially every hunting and clay shooting pattern you'd need, which keeps the out-of-the-box cost reasonable.

The crossbolt safety sits behind the trigger and is intuitive to operate. The bead sight is appropriate for the intended use, fast-moving birds in the field where a precise sight picture matters less than quick acquisition.

The 3-inch chamber handles 2.75-inch and 3-inch loads, so you have flexibility on shell selection for different game.

Usage Scenarios:

• Upland bird hunting where the lightweight build and fast handling make a real difference over a long day.
• Small game hunting where 20-gauge recoil is a genuine advantage for sustained shooting.
• Clay shooting, where the included choke variety covers skeet, trap, and sporting clays setups.

The CZ 620 Field Select draws consistent praise for its wood-and-blue aesthetics. For hunters who prefer traditional-looking guns over synthetic-stocked alternatives, the Turkish walnut and gloss blue finish are a genuine selling point at this price tier, and most buyers feel CZ delivers on that front.

The pump action is described as smooth and reliable across user discussions. Both new shooters and experienced hunters report it cycles without issues and handles a variety of shell types without complaint.

Weight and balance come up occasionally. At 5.80 lbs, most users find it comfortable for a full day afield, though a small number mention it feels slightly heavier than they expected based on the specs. That likely reflects variation in how people perceive balance rather than a meaningful weight discrepancy.

Fit and finish gets mostly positive marks, with scattered mentions of minor wood-to-metal fit inconsistencies on some units. It's not a widespread complaint, but worth inspecting if you're buying in person. Overall, the CZ 620 Field Select is seen as a well-priced traditional pump gun that competes well against domestic alternatives at a similar price point.
