Usage

The flat trajectory of .17 HMR makes it a solid pick for varmint work at distance. Recoil is minimal, so it's equally at home on a target range. For small game, the caliber provides enough energy without excessive meat damage.

The CZ-USA 455 Precision .17 HMR draws consistent praise for accuracy. Owners regularly report tight groups across a range of distances, crediting the bolt-action design and overall build quality. The bolt cycles smoothly, and most find the construction solid.

Ergonomics get good marks too. The rifle balances well, and the adjustable trigger is a frequently cited highlight since it can be dialed to individual preference.

On the downside, a few users point out that the 455 is optimized for rimfire use and isn't a multi-caliber platform in the same way centerfire modular rifles are. Accessory options are also noted as narrower compared to more widely-owned brands.

Overall, owners tend to be satisfied with the 455's accuracy and reliability for precision rimfire shooting.
