The Affinity 3.5 is a semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 3.5" shells, giving it the reach for waterfowl and turkey loads that shorter-chambered guns can't handle. The 12-gauge action cycles everything from light 2.75" target loads up through 3.5" magnums, which makes it one of the more versatile field guns Franchi offers.

Detailed Features

The adjustable drop at heel lets shooters dial in the fit without aftermarket stocks. That range, 2 to 2.5 inches, is enough to accommodate most face shapes and mounting styles.

The Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish on the barrel holds up well to moisture and field use, and it pairs with the Realtree Max-7 stock for decent concealment in marsh and flooded timber settings.

The fiber-optic red-bar front sight is fast to pick up in low light or overcast conditions, where plain bead sights can wash out.

Three choke tubes (IC, Modified, Full) cover the main waterfowl and upland setups. The 3.5" chamber also accepts standard steel shot loads rated for longer range on geese and larger ducks.

Discussions around the Franchi Affinity 3.5 in Realtree Max-7 and Midnight Bronze tend to focus on a few recurring themes.

Cycling reliability is the top point. Users note it handles a wide range of loads well, including light 2.75" shells through full 3.5" magnums. The semi-auto action gets credit for reducing felt recoil, which becomes relevant on a long day of pass shooting with heavy loads.

The ergonomics come up often. The balance and weight (around 6.9 lbs) feel manageable during extended field use. The adjustable stock is appreciated by shooters who've had fit issues with fixed-stock guns.

Price is the main friction point. Some buyers feel comparable reliability is available for less, and a few note that the Midnight Bronze finish, while durable, carries a premium over plainer configurations of the same gun.

Overall, the Affinity 3.5 lands well with waterfowl hunters who need 3.5" capability and want a lighter-weight alternative to heavier gas-operated platforms.
