Detailed Features

The break-open action loads and unloads quickly. Five choke options are available (cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, and full), which lets you adapt pattern density to target distance. The design is ambidextrous.

The walnut stock holds up to field use and provides a comfortable grip. The 28-inch barrel gives a good sight radius at 6 lbs total weight.

Usage Scenarios

The .410 gauge is light-recoiling and suited to small game and upland birds at close-to-moderate range. The S16 handles clay target practice well, particularly for new shooters learning with reduced recoil. The five included chokes cover from open improved cylinder to full, which is a wider range than typical entry-level break-actions.

Owners appreciate the lightweight design and walnut stock at this price point. The break-open action is simple and reliable, and the 6 lb weight makes it easy to handle for extended periods. Most feedback on function is positive for small game and clay target use.

The most consistent criticism is around long-term build quality and durability comparisons with established brands. Some owners feel the fit and finish are adequate for the price but wouldn't hold up to the use a more expensive gun would see. The .410 gauge limitation is straightforward. It's appropriate for small game and target work, not larger game.

For the price, the walnut stock and five included chokes are considered good value by most buyers. Those coming from premium brands will notice the difference in materials; those buying as an entry-level or secondary field gun tend to find it performs its intended purpose without issue.
