Owners of the Vandal 2 generally describe the build quality as tight, with a stiff action and a barrel that holds zero well after break-in. The TriggerTech trigger draws consistent praise for a clean, predictable pull compared to factory triggers on other bolt guns in this price range.

The Timberline Iota stock and ARCA rail forend are popular with shooters who use a bipod or tripod for precision or field positions, and the OD Green finish is a common favorite for a low-visibility look. A few owners mention the stock takes some adjustment to get comfortable, particularly for shooters used to a traditional sporter profile.

For a 22 Creedmoor bolt gun, aftermarket parts availability is narrower than for more common cartridges, so owners tend to stick with factory Horizon components. Most consider it a solid value for a rifle built around a purpose-specific cartridge.
