The Horizon Firearms Vandal DM is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 22 Creedmoor, built around an 18-inch spiral fluted barrel with a black chrome finish and a threaded muzzle. The black chrome aluminum receiver carries a Picatinny optics rail, and the rifle sits in a black anodized XLR Element 4.0 aluminum stock with an integrated ARCA rail. Owners of the Vandal DM generally describe the build as tight and consistent, with the black chrome finish holding up well and the action running smoothly out of the box. The TriggerTech trigger draws praise for a clean, predictable break, though a few buyers note the rifle needs a proper break-in before it settles into its best performance.

The XLR Element 4.0 stock gets mixed reactions. Precision shooters like the adjustability and the ARCA rail for tripod use in the field, while some find the chassis heavier and less compact than a traditional wood or synthetic stock. The Picatinny rail makes mounting a scope straightforward, and most agree the ergonomics favor bench and prone shooting over quick handling.

On value, buyers weigh the Vandal DM against other 22 Creedmoor precision rifles and generally see it as a serious option for long-range shooters rather than a casual range gun. AICS-pattern magazines are widely available, which owners appreciate for aftermarket support, though the niche caliber can mean fewer loaded ammunition choices compared to more common cartridges.
