The Rossi Circuit Judge fires both .45 Colt and .410 Gauge shotgun shells, which makes it useful across a wider range of situations than a single-caliber revolver. The Black & Sand Cerakote finish holds up well and looks good doing it.

Features

The DA/SA action lets you choose between single and double action depending on the situation. Adjustable fiber optic sights give you a clear sight picture in most lighting conditions, and target acquisition is quick once you're dialed in.

The transfer bar safety prevents the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled with the hammer moving, a sound mechanical design for a long gun that sees field use. At 4.60 lbs it's on the lighter side, and the thumbhole stock keeps follow-up shots manageable.

The Circuit Judge draws a pretty divided response. The dual-caliber capability, .45 Long Colt and .410 shotgun, gets the most enthusiasm, since it opens up options for small game hunting and home defense without swapping guns. The rifle-revolver hybrid look is polarizing; some owners consider it a highlight of their collection, others just see it as odd.

On performance, opinions split along ammo lines. Most shooters report solid reliability and decent accuracy with .45 Colt; results with .410 vary more depending on the shell type used, with some complaints about cycling issues. Recoil from .45 Colt tends to surprise people who expected it to feel lighter given the gun's weight.

Build quality gets mixed marks. The gun feels solid to most owners, but fit and finish draw occasional criticism. Weight comes up frequently. At 4.60 lbs it's not heavy on paper, but the balance and grip geometry lead some shooters to find extended use tiring. Price is generally seen as reasonable for what the gun is.
