The Ruger 22/45 Lite gets consistent praise for its light weight and 1911-style grip angle, which helps with control and makes it a natural cross-trainer. Most owners report reliable feeding across a wide range of .22 LR ammunition, and the threaded barrel is a frequently cited selling point for those running suppressors.
The main complaints tend to cluster around the break-in period. Some users see feeding or extraction hiccups early on, especially with lower-quality ammo. A few also note that the lighter frame transmits more felt recoil than heavier .22 pistols, though at .22 LR pressures this is minor. Once broken in, most owners report it runs without issue for plinking and target work.
